Junkluggers Hurricane Irma & Hurricane Harvey Relief

In the wake of the devastating weather events that took place in Houston and Florida and surrounding states, Junkluggers is announcing its disaster response plan. Together with its franchise partners, Junkluggers will coordinate with local officials and others in the business community to assist in reconstruction efforts, targeted specifically at those areas most affected by the storms.

“Everyone in the Junkluggers family extends their heartfelt sympathies to the people of Florida who were impacted by Hurricane Irma and the people of Houston who were impacted by Hurricane Harvey,” said CEO Josh Cohen in a statement. “We know firsthand how devastating these storms can be. On behalf of Junkluggers, I am eager to lend all the support we can to those in need in the coming weeks and months.”

Hurricane Irma, which was by far the strongest hurricane to make landfall in Florida in the last twenty years, caused extensive damage to homes and businesses and thousands of people now face an uncertain future. Hurricane Harvey brought devastating floods to Houston causing immense damage. It is The Junkluggers’ goal in the coming days to ascertain those areas that would benefit most from assistance in their efforts to rebuild.

Junkluggers has also reached out to its local franchise partners in the states affected and can confirm that all team members and their families have made it through the storms.

The disaster response plan will utilize Junkluggers’ fleet of trucks and personnel in the states of Texas and Florida to deliver supplies, haul away debris, and support local relief agencies in any way possible. Junkluggers encourages city and state officials with logistics needs to reach out to the Junkluggers’ disaster relief hotline 1-800-LUG-JUNK.

“The process of rebuilding won’t be completed overnight, so we are committed to helping over the long haul,” said Cohen.
