Giving Tuesday with The Junkluggers
Giving Tuesday falls annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and has been raising awareness for charitable causes since 2012. Giving Tuesday promotes a global day of giving, encouraging people from around the world to donate some of their time, an item they no longer want or need, or the power of their voice in their local community.
The Junkluggers first participated in Giving Thursday last year at our company owned locations in Fairfield County and Westchester County by collecting and donating some much needed towels to Operation Hope. We are very excited to be participating again this year with a company-wide coat drive. At participating locations, we will be collecting coats, sweaters, hats, gloves, and other warm weather gear for free in addition to our regular junk removal services. We have set a company wide goal to donate 500 coats to those in need before the end of the year and we are already well on our way with donation spots all over the country.
