About The Owner:
Drew Hirt
Drew Hirt was born and raised near Round Rock, Texas, in the small town of Rockdale. After high school, he attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock. There, he met his wife, Candice, who had grown up in the West Texas region and also attended Texas Tech. They lived in West Texas until 2008 when they moved to the Central Texas area after Drew began his career in commercial banking. The couple has called Round Rock home since that time.
Prior to joining The Junkluggers, Drew worked primarily in the banking industry, where he was in commercial lending for nearly fifteen years but was also in retail sales/management with Discount Tire Company during and after college. Candice has an Early Childhood Education Degree and worked as an elementary math and science teacher until their first child was born. She now stays at home and raises/homeschools their three children.
In their free time, Drew and Candice enjoy family activities - especially outdoors, playing and watching sports, reading, and building things with their kids. They have an eight-year-old son as well as four-year-old and five month old daughters. They hope to set an entrepreneurial example for their children and even have them play a role some day in their Junkluggers franchise.
Drew and Candice chose The Junkluggers because they liked the overall business model, finding The Junkluggers to be the "total package" in the franchise search process. AfterOur customer inherited this older family property and had been in the process of extensively renovating it (inside and out) after moving to Texas from out of state. She had cut and subsequently accumulated a large pile of limbs, ragweed, and random construction debris to the side of the house. Overwhelmed with the entirety of the job, she eventually looked for 'junk removal' options and found ..... The Junkluggers. After receiving the initial estimate, she was a bit skeptical that we would be able to remove everything in the stated number of truckloads. However, we reassured her that she would not be charged additional regardless of whether or not it all fit in the estimated space. Although we had to do some rather tight packing on the initial truckload, we were indeed able to fit it exactly into the estimated amount of space. After completing the first truck, the customer called us back to make another run, and we were able to do the same with the second truckload. The Junkluggers crew even managed to knock out a few other tasks for her while onsite - i.e. removing an old satellite dish mounted on a cemented pole - and buried in the ground - and hauling off some old wooden window frames!
