Andy Adelman grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with family roots in the junk business. While growing up, his father and grandfather were in the scrap metal recycling business, and he got to go on many adventures looking for treasures. He loved finding aluminum baseball bats! With recycling, repurposing, and reusing ingrained in his youth, Andy instantly felt a deep connection to the Junkluggers mission. Giving back to the community, eco-friendly junk removal, and prioritizing being a sustainable company are essential ideals to Andy. He is inspired to continue in that profession!
After graduating from Indiana University in 2003, he spent some time traveling and met his wife Aleeza in 2008 while living in Jerusalem, Israel. They moved to New Orleans in 2010 and fell in love with the city. They love the city's culture reflected through favorite events like Jazz Fest, where the music is ever-lasting and the nearly perfect weather and walks through Audubon Park or on the Bayou. Andy and his wife have been married for ten years and have three children together Yakir-7 Reeva-5 and Tehila-2.
Andy has spent the last ten years in the food industry within the restaurant and catering business. He started a small catering company out of his kitchen, once it grew to a commercial kitchen and from there into a brick and mortar restaurant that he owned and operated.
When Andy isn't handling business, you can find him cheering on the Chicago Cubs from his living room with his kids or playing catch in the yard. You can also find him at concerts, big and small, or doing anything outdoors; he loves to travel. Andy and his family are very involved with their Synagogue community and spend a lot of time with that community as a family.
Proudly serving New Orleans, LA, Metairie, LA, and Kenner, LA.
