From Part-Time College Gig to $2.3 Million

Josh Cohen grew a college side gig into a multi-million dollar business and is now expanding it throughout New York City. Josh founded Junkluggers in 2004 after he heard a friend say he made $100 hauling an old refrigerator away for a neighbor and the idea stuck with him. Josh began using his mother’s SUV to run his part-time junk removal service and make some money on the side. After graduating college, Josh built up business in Connecticut where he transitioned to using a full-sized truck, and eventually took the risk to quit his full-time career as a commercial real estate agent, and move the business to New York City, and headquarters in Manhattan.
