Donations, Goodwill and other Charitable Organizations

Why Donate With Us?

We MAXIMIZE your junk's potential!

  1. Save Money.
  2. Most donating centers are picky about what they can and cannot take. We work with many different charitable organizations to maximize your tax-deductible receipt potential.

  3. Save Time.
  4. We can take other things like trash and recyclables in the same trip (we separate them in our trucks). That means you don't pay for us to come out multiple times.

  5. Help Those in Need.
  6. You can be sure your donated items are getting to the donation centers and into the hands of those in need. Learn about some of our partners below:

Charities We Work With

Homes for the Brave in conjunction with the VA CT Healthcare Systems - Healthcare for Homeless Veterans department – New Haven, CT
This group works hand in hand to give veterans with disabilities the support they need to obtain or maintain housing. Our Milford territory makes the biggest impact with this group by helping to furnish the veterans accommodations with the good furniture that we find on jobs.
Goodwill Easter Seals - Fairfield, CT
A 24' trailer is stored at our facilities, in which we continuously fill with reusable furniture, clothing, and household goods. Goodwill takes the items and sells them at a price that is within reach of people less fortunate, using the revenue to fund job training and other services to prepare the same demographic for job success. Laurel House - Stamford, CT
This organization helps to create opportunities for people with serious mental illness obtain work, attend school, have a place to live and experience improved health and an overall better quality of life. It is also a place where recovery begins. We donate the stuff we get from our Stamford territory to the Laurel House thrift shop. The thrift shop does two things; it provides people within the Laurel House system an opportunity to work, and it generates the revenue needed to keep the Laurel House active.
Furniture Sharehouse - Westchester, NY
Our Westchester territory donates gently used and new furniture that we find on jobs to the Sharehouse who in turn redistributes it free of charge to clients referred by member social service agencies, ensuring that it goes DIRECTLY to those who truly need it.
Big Brothers Big Sisters - Yonkers, NY
Our Westchester territory contributes to this global operation that ships toys, clothing, and books around the world to underserved regions.
Green Demolitions - Norwalk, CT.
Green Demolitions provides people with the opportunity to purchase recycled luxury kitchens, appliances, bathroom fixtures, home décor, estates, and surplus at a fraction of the retail price (approximately 50%-75% off!). Items are collected from homes that lie within different territories of CT and NY and are in the process of being demolished and renovated. All donation proceeds benefit Recovery Unlimited, a nonprofit organization supporting a highly successful addiction recovery program established in 1964.
Other Local Organizations - Because it pains us to throw usable junk into the landfills, we are constantly looking for places that will accept the great things we find on jobs. In our search, we have found local synagogues, churches and community centers more than happy to help us redistribute books, clothes, shoes, appliances, household goods and more... Digging deeper we have found special cases where individuals have made it their life's work to get great toys to kids, baby carriages to less fortunate new mother's, etc. Some of these people let us pull up to their front yards, and leave it on their doorstep!! The greatest Junklugger discovery thus far has been that there truly are amazing people everywhere you look. Sometimes you just have to be a part of the giving to find them.
